I am very impressed with the article I have just read. I wish the author of www.stevesbankruptcyblog.com can continue to provide so much practical information and unforgettable experience to www.stevesbankruptcyblog.com readers. There is not much to say except the following universal truth: Whenever trouble arises, there is always one idividual who realizes a solution, then rises from obscurity to take command, ushering in a new era. Very often, that individual is utterly insane. I will be back.

I just read through your blog. OMG!!!
We just had our 341 meeting today. Actually, my husband filed, and I did not. At least not yet. My brother and my brother-in-law filed chapter 7 this year as well. My brother got to keep both of his houses (they are underwater on the mortgages), his Mercedes convertible (trustee decided no one is buying those anyway.). They had nothing taken away. And he and his wife both have jobs, he with the state and she with a school district and they have pensions to come.
My brother-in-law got to keep his house, corvette, jeep, rv. His mortgage is under water as well. The rv was about 30k when he bought it not too long ago, and now he claims worth 6k.
We have been told that maybe the debt will be discharged, may not. May lose things, may not. My husband is self-employed. If we lose everything, we will have to close up shop and leave the county and start over. Your case resonated very closely with me. We don't know how the trustee will go. He asked very few questions.
It feels like a death in the family. No money coming in, either.

Please write more. I would like to know how it turns out :)
