Increase in credit score today

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

Well, just another few days, and a few more items being reported made my credit score increase to 532. Nothing very specific, but the alert stated less negative factors. This probably means more of the accounts have changed balances to $0.

The wifes credir scores have had no changes in over a week.

Documents sent to trustee and business asset information

Friday, November 14th, 2008

The documentation was sent off to the trustee as she had requested. It was about 2000 pages! I also got information from her concerning the sale of some business assets. Since the corporation is not filing bankruptcy, it is a personal bankruptcy, I as the owner of the business need to deal with the assets as I see fit.

Any assets sold, however need to be “fair market value” as if the business must file bankruptcy in the future any monies will need to be accounted for and turned over to the court. Any normal expenses are allowed to be spent.

The fair market value comes into play like I had mentioned in earlier posts. This prevents people from selling assets cheap to friends, family, etc. This would be preferential tratment, and/or improper transfer of assets.

Hopefully the sale will go through, less stuff to worry about.

Credit score dropped today

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

Today my credit score dropped slightly again, reversing the increase from a few days ago. It dropped from a 520 down to a 516 again. One credit card account shows a missed payment of $168.

No changes to the wifes credit scores in the last few days.

In case you havn’t been to my blog before or havn’t checked for a while I use the following to watch our credit.

Huge problem with getting documentation

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

I called Wachovia yesterday about the checks I had not yet received… after a run-around it was determined the department I had sent the written request to almost two weeks ago, was not the right department, and no one called me! The checks are not on the way!

I about went ballistic on the poor lady on the phone, I need copies of 400+ checks by the end of the week, to get them to our bankruptcy trustee. Not only that, but they charge $5 per check. They wanted $1200+ dollars for the copies!

I contacted my lawyer, and he stated he would call them if they gave me a problem about the charge, since it is being required by the court it should be no charge.

Well, they say unless there is a subpeona they still charge… I went off! Since I had proof in writing of the request, and they never followed up they stated they will not charge me for the copies, and send them over-night so I have them Thursday.

I’ll still need to make copies for our records, as well as the copies for the trustee, too. In the end, Wachovia even called back to let me know they were being processed and they would let me know when they shipped out.

Still no checks from the bank for the trustee

Monday, November 10th, 2008

I’m starting to get worried now. From one of my previous posts here you know the trustee requested about 400 checks. Luckily most of them are coming from Wachovia. Let’s hope they are in the mail today!
